https://youtu.be/UXQnEj8h3dI CCPD- Talked about Bill Hagin [Homeless Marine veteran]- he was hit by a CCPD cop on his bike- Bill believes the cop targeted him. The cop was off duty in his vehicle- Bill also questioned why they did not check the cop for intoxication- whether or not the officer was drinking- Bill told me they should have at least done a field sobriety test on the cop. A police report was made at the scene and the firefighters bought Bill another bike- the cop destroyed Bills bicycle when he ran into him- this incident took place 0n 8-10-17- In Corpus Christi [Flour Bluff] on Center street near Compton road. Officer Clark was the cop. I heard about this incident from the guys on the street- then talked to Bill himself- the day he contacted a lawyer.

26 And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
NEW- I made this video/post on the spur of the moment- because of what happened the morning I made it [yes- you’ll have to watch to get it].
Being I had the camera on- I decided to share a few stories and talk some from the prophet Isaiah.
In short-
God works thru the people you have had an influence with during your life.
People you bring to the Lord- they play a special role in your life.
Often times God will speak a word thru them- or use some gift they have- and without them even realizing it- it will have meaning to you.
This is a Divine principle- I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders [Isaiah]
Sometimes these come thru signs- yes- thru events that after they happen you realize God has confirmed something to you. [overblog- see here- https://ccoutreach87.com/2017/08/13/god-of-the-living-2/ ]
I actually don’t feel comfortable when I write these types of posts [about signs] but as I was talking- I decided to put a few of these experiences I have had over the past few years all together.
It is possible for something to be a coincidence- or an unexplained event- sure- stuff like that happens.
But when things happen- like the story I told about my sister- who died a few years ago- then you realize there is more to it.
I’ll add a few past teachings below that might relate in some way to this post- and also add the bible verses below.
But there's really not much more to teach on this post- to get what I was talking about you simply will have to watch the video.
God bless all- hope you get something out of it.
Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord God might dwell among them.

VERSES-
18 Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,
19 Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
20 Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.
21 And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.
22 And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.
23 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
26 And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
Isaiah 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
Isaiah 53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
Isaiah 53:9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
Isaiah 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
Isaiah 53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Isaiah 54:1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.
Isaiah 54:2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
Isaiah 54:3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
Isaiah 54:4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
Isaiah 54:5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
Isaiah 54:6 For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.
Isaiah 54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.
Isaiah 54:8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.
Isaiah 54:9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
Isaiah 54:11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
Isaiah 54:12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.
Isaiah 54:13 And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
Isaiah 54:14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
Isaiah 54:15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.
Isaiah 54:16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

NEW-
Jesus is delivered to Pilate- Pilate [Roman governor over Judea from 26- 36 AD] Is amazed that Jesus is silent before his court-
Mark 15:4 And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.Mark 15:5 But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.
This was a fulfillment of prophecy-
New International Version
He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. Is. 53:7
Pilate is willing to release one convict- because this was a tradition that was kept by the Romans themselves in recognition of the Jewish holy day- Passover-
Mark 15:6 Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.
He asks the people who they want for him to let go- he knew the Jewish leaders did this because of envy-
Mark 15:9 But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?Mark 15:10 For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.
Yet they ask for Barabbas- a murderer- to be set free- and for Jesus to be crucified-
Mark 15:11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.
Jesus is whipped- severely- and brought to the ‘Place of the skull’ Golgotha- [Overblog- see here- https://ccoutreach87.com/2017/08/16/mark-15/ ]
Mark 15:15 And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.Mark 15:22 And they bring him unto the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull.
In Mark’s account- we read how the 2 thieves who were crucified with him also were accusing him- in Luke's account he gives further detail [not a contradiction] that after this went on for a while- one of the thieves realized how unjust this was-
Luke 23:39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.Luke 23:40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?Luke 23:41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
He makes a request from Jesus-
Luke 23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
And Jesus assures him the request will be honored-
Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
Jesus cries out from the cross-
Mark 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
And some think he is calling for the prophet Elijah-
Mark 15:35 And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias.
Jesus more than likely spoke Aramaic [Which are the words Eloi- Eloi..]- and the people of his day did have prophecies about Elijah coming back again-
Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:Malachi 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Jesus own disciples asked him about this once-
And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?
So it wasn’t as strange as you might think.
Jesus taught us that the prophecy of Elijah coming back was fulfilled thru John the baptist-
12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
In this chapter- Jesus dies- was killed- crucified.
We have become dull to what actually happened-
We celebrate- rightfully- the day of the crucifixion.
We have passion plays that recount the story- year after year.
Yet on this day- Jesus truly died for the sins of the world-
For those who nailed him to the Cross.
For Pilate who allowed this to happen- in an unjust way.
For the Roman soldiers who mocked him this day-
Dressing him up like a puppet king- and then violently slapping him with the rod of a ‘king’-
Mark 15:19 And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.
And yes- the crown of thorns pressed on his head-
Mark 15:17 And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,
Jesus fulfilled many prophecies thru out his life-
His death was foretold- where he would come from- where he would be born.
As the time drew near for this prophecy to come to pass- his closest friends simply did not understand what was happening-
9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. John. 20
Jesus was silent before Pilate- and also suffered this agonizing death- and separation from God- to fulfill all of the prophecies about him- not just the ‘good ones’.
This day- when the sky got dark- when he cried out in agony from the Cross-
Luke 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
This day was one of the most important prophecies of all-
And when we get to the next chapter-
We will see the grand finale-
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Mark 15:40 There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
Mark 15:41 (Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.
Mark 15:42 And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,
Mark 15:43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.
Mark 15:44 And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.
Mark 15:45 And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.
Mark 15:46 And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.
Mark 15:47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.

WEDNESDAY-
Day 3- the continuing crisis at the Corpus Christi Police department- headed by Chief Mike Markle
I have raised up one from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as upon morter, and as the potter treadeth clay.
I just fired the police chief- https://youtu.be/nm2_W-BMgu4
Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his sword, and as driven stubble to his bow.
I baptized him too!- https://youtu.be/3sg2AMN3ZXc
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
Road blocked-
There was a ton of traffic on my way back to the Bluff- backed up for miles. At first I had no idea why. Then I thought ‘Maybe they heard the Police chief was retiring and they wanted to throw him a party’? Maybe? Or come to the Baptism? [If you don’t watch the videos- you won’t get it]
Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me.
NOTE- On these ‘roll-out’ videos I have done for the last few days- I did mention cases- that to the people involved- are a big deal [Lady whose son died at the football game- and the cop wrote out a false report]. Now- these are only a few- things that either I’m aware of- or the local media picked up on. And it does take a sort of ‘pounding’ it-day after day- for the public to be aware. There are many more cases- of stuff I do not know about- or the local media has not reported on- so for theirs sake's as well- I blog hard for a few days- and then go back to the normal routine. Right before I posted this- I was thinking of doing one more video. I just listened to NPR news- and they covered the tragedy in Virginia- they had audio of the family members and friends who went to the funeral of the girl who was killed at the rally. Then NPR reported that Trump blamed it on the left- the progressives- in essence- that Trump blamed the girls death- on the girl herself. They also did this with another story- ‘this’ meaning bias. I'm not defending Trump here nor do I think he handled his statements well- but he blamed the violence on both sides- meaning the radical left- as well as the radical right. But NPR speaks so convincingly I could see how many who heard what I did- would actually go away thinking Trump blamed the girls death- on the girl herself [because she was a progressive]. So yes- the media- both sides- are also causing division in the country- Ok- that's it for now- God bless all- Even Chief Markle- as he begins a new phase of life- enjoying his retirement years.

NOTES-
The big news today was the terrorist vehicle killing in Barcelona- as of now I haven’t done a video talking about that one. If I do- it will be on here when I post. I added some news links above on it- and if you simply look at the front page of the various news sites- it obviously is huge world news- TERROR! TERROR STRIKES!
Now- what would the news be if someone in a car accidentally drove into a crowd- and killed 13 people?
You would have heard about it- but that would be it.
Yet on talk radio- on all the news outlets- this story will be huge for days.
The market lost a ton of money today- down about 270 points.
I actually tried to google ‘how much money did the market lose- today’. No results.
Then I added today’s date- still nothing.
Hmm?
I’m sure I could find it straight from a financial site- but figured the financial world does not want the public to know- that millions/billions of your dollars can be lost- if one affiliated terrorist simply kills people with his car.
In a way- we- the media- have empowered radical groups to control the world financial markets- by simply killing people with a car- which is quite an easy thing to do.
We have shown them- that if they do it- it will rock the world for days.
They no longer need planes flown into buildings- or bombs snuck into a airport.
No- all they have to do- is drive a van into a crowd of people- and it will shake the world.
Something- isn’t it?
Yes- lets all pray for the families of the victims- lets also pray for the many Africans- kids as well- who die on a daily basis by groups like this.
Or those who are dying as migrants trying to escape civil wars in their own countries.
Or those in Venezuela who are on the brink of collapse as I write.
Yes- pray for all the families of victims all over the world- the many that never even make it into the fine print of the paper.
Yes- remember them too on this day- while the world media will be doing non stop coverage of the Innocent victims who died in Barcelona on this tragic day.
And sad to say- because of this coverage- you can be sure it will happen again.
TRUMP- Though not a ‘Trump supporter’ [I did not vote for him] I have found it sad to see so many in the nation think he is one of the worst racists- ever.
I have told some of these people that as a political observer- Trump is much more ‘liberal’ than many establishment Republicans. I have tried to explain to them that Trump is viewed as more of a north eastern Republican than what some deem ‘the good old southern boys’ [to many- the southern Republicans are seen as racist].
So- I find it sad that the main stream media simply ignores their past track record on Trump. The media themselves have seen Trump as a ‘non-racist’ person in the past. I add the section below just so you could read Trumps past record with the media themselves.
Despite current accusations to the contrary, President Trump has an over 30 year record of rejecting racism.
1986: Trump, Rosa Parks, Muhammad Ali Receive ‘Ellis Island’ Award
As the New York Times reported on October 16, 1986:
Eighty Americans from 42 ethnic groups were named yesterday as recipients of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor by the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation.
The medals will be presented to the recipients, all either naturalized or native Americans, at a ceremony Oct. 27 on Ellis Island. That is the day before the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the Statue of Liberty, the final event of the 1986 Liberty Centennial observances.
The National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations presents the awards based on “integrity, passion, gravitas, humanitarian and ethnic heritage.”
If Trump’s a racist, why would he accept an award alongside civil rights pioneer Rosa Parks?
1991: Trump “Hates Seeing” What David Duke Surging in Politics Represents
In an interview on Larry King Live on November 19, 1991, Trump said he “hated seeing” what the strong political support of white nationalist David Duke meant in Louisiana, which was suffering a deep depression at the time.
KING: Did the David Duke thing bother you? Fifty-five percent of the whites in Louisiana voted for him.
Mr. TRUMP: I hate –
KING: Four hundred New Yorkers contributed.
Mr. TRUMP: I hate seeing what it represents, but I guess it just shows there’s a lot of hostility in this country. There’s a tremendous amount of hostility in the United States.
KING: Anger?
Mr. TRUMP: It’s anger. I mean, that’s an anger vote. People are angry about what’s happened. People are angry about the jobs. If you look at Louisiana, they’re really in deep trouble. When you talk about the East Coast – It’s not the East Coast. It’s the East Coast, the middle coast, the West Coast –
KING: If he runs and Pat Buchanan runs, might you see a really divided vote?
Mr. TRUMP: Well, I think if they run, or even if David Duke- I mean, George Bush was very, very strong against David Duke. I think if he had it to do again, he might not have gotten involved in that campaign because I think David Duke now, if he runs, takes away almost exclusively Bush votes and then a guy like Cuomo runs- I think Cuomo can win the election.
KING: But Bush morally had to come out against him.
Mr. TRUMP: I think Bush had to come out against him. I think Bush- If David Duke runs, David Duke is going to get a lot of votes. Whether that be good or bad, David Duke is going to get a lot of votes. Pat Buchanan – who really has many of the same theories, except it’s in a better package – Pat Buchanan is going to take a lot of votes away from George Bush. So if you have these two guys running, or even one of them running, I think George Bush could be in big trouble.
A Feb. 16, 1989, article from the New York Times explained more:
With a runoff election set for Saturday to fill a seat in the state House of Representatives, David Duke, the 38-year old former grand wizard of the sKnights of the Ku Klux Klan, and John Treen, a 63-year-old long active in the Republican Party, are both predicting victory.
[…]
On the surface, the race in this New Orleans suburb may look like a throwback to an uglier era of racial politics in the South. In fact, almost everything is strikingly contemporary about Mr. Duke – from his ease in front of the television cameras, to his blend of carefully couched racial issues and antitax fervor, to the deep-seated frustrations he is tapping amid Louisiana’s depressed economy.
If some of his support reflects blatant racism, much of it comes from working people convinced that politics as usual has failed to serve the white working class.
It’s ironic how the New York Times was more fair to David Duke than Trump was.
1997: Anti-Defamation League Praises Trump
On April 30, 1997, the Wall Street Journal reported on Trump’s purchase of the famous Mar-a-Largo club in Palm Beach, Florida, and how he opened up the club to Jews and African-Americans, putting him at odds against rival clubs in Palm Beach:
The culture clash began to approach a climax last fall, when Mr. Trump’s lawyer sent members of the town council a copy of the film “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner,” a film that deals with upper-class racism.
Mr. Trump then approached the town council about lifting the restrictions that had been placed on the club. He also asked some council members not to vote on the request because their membership in other clubs created a conflict of interest.
Last December, after the council refused to lift the restrictions, Mr. Trump filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Palm Beach, alleging that the town was discriminating against Mar-a-Lago, in part because it is open to Jews and African-Americans. The suit seeks $100 million in damages.
The former head of the ADL, Abraham Foxman, showered Trump with praise, as the WSJ reported:
Mr. Foxman seems pleased that Mr. Trump has elevated the issue of discriminatory policies at social clubs.
“He put the light on Palm Beach,” Mr. Foxman says. “Not on the beauty and the glitter, but on its seamier side of discrimination. It has an impact.”
In recent weeks, Mr. Foxman says, the league has received calls from Jewish residents telling of how Palm Beach clubs are changing.
2000: Trump Calls David Duke “a Bigot, a Racist and a Problem”
During a NBC interview aired on Feb. 14, 2000, Trump blasted Duke when explaining why he was leaving the Reform Party:
MATT LAUER: When you say the Party is self-destructing, what do you see as the biggest problem with the Reform Party right now?
Mr. TRUMP: Well, you’ve got David Duke just joined–a bigot, a racist, a problem. I mean, this is not exactly the people you want in your party. Buchanan’s a disaster as we’ve, you know, covered. Jesse’s a terrific guy who just left the Party. And he, you know, it’s unfortunate, but he just left the Party. He’s going to be doing his Independence Party from Minnesota. And he’s a terrific guy and a terrific governor, and he’s got a great future. And I’ve always said, Matt, that I would run if I thought I could win, and in order to win…
LAUER: Not only the nomination, but the presidency.
Mr. TRUMP: …the whole thing. I don’t want to get 20 percent of the vote, I think I could, and I know I could get the nomination. New York wants me. Texas wants me. Many of the states want me. And they’re, you know, they’re rather devastated because they don’t like the alternatives. I always said, and I said to you if you can win the whole thing, you can only win the whole thing with a totally unified party.
2008: Trump Helps African-American Jennifer Hudson After Her Family is Murdered
Jennifer Hudson, a singer who rose to prominence after an an appearance on American Idol, suffered an immense tragedy when three of her family members were murdered.
In the aftermath, Trump offered to put up up at the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago free of charge, as reported by NBC:
“They are safe,” Trump told People on Monday night. “She’s a great girl and we’re protecting them well.”
According to E! Online, Hudson has been staying at the hotel since arriving in Chicago on October 24 – the day her mother, Darnell Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson, were found murdered, and her nephew, Julian King, was found missing.
Since checking into the hotel, the Oscar winner and former “American Idol” star has rarely left the hotel.
“She is still in shock,” a source told E!. “She hasn’t gone out much at all and has a lot of security around her.”
2015: Trump Doesn’t Want Duke’s Support
About two months into Trump’s campaign for the White House, he publicly said he didn’t want Duke’s support.
According to CBS:
Trump was asked Wednesday about Duke’s praise, and he distanced himself from the white supremacist.
“I don’t need his endorsement; I certainly wouldn’t want his endorsement,” Trump said during an interview with Bloomberg News on Wednesday. “I don’t need anyone’s endorsement.”
When he was asked whether he would flat-out reject Duke’s support, Trump replied, “Sure, I would if that would make you feel better.”
He wasn’t surprised by Duke’s kind words, however.
“A lot of people like me,” Trump explained. “Republicans like me, liberals like me. Everybody likes me.”
2016: Trump Disavows Racist Elements of so-called “Alt-Right”
Not long after winning the presidency, Trump disavowed the racist elements of what the mainstream media termed the “alt-right.”
From CNN on Nov. 23, 2016:
“I don’t want to energize the group, and I disavow the group,” Trump told a group of New York Times reporters and columnists during a meeting at the newspaper’s headquarters in New York.
“It’s not a group I want to energize, and if they are energized, I want to look into it and find out why,” he added, according to one of the Times reporters in the room, Michael Grynbaum.
There you go, an exhaustive list of how President Trump has disavowed racism over three decades, as documented by contemporary mainstream media outlets.
Ironically, establishment “fact checking” sites, ran by opinion journalists larping as objective reporters, have tried to downplay the examples above, but all they’ve done is ruin their own credibility.
“…Most ‘fact-checkers’ are merely liberal journalists looking to prove their preconceived narrative,” wrote the Washington Times’ Kelly Riddell. “They cherry-pick the statements to ‘fact-check’ and then decide which data to back it up with.”
“Statistics can be manipulated — for every study coming out of the Brookings Institute, the Heritage Foundation can have a counter argument, depending on the methodology and surveys used. Moreover, much of what they decide to ‘fact-check’ is subjective at best… nothing that can be pinned down with undisputed data.”

NEW- T talked about various issues on today’s video- won’t cover it all here.
But just want to focus in on a few insights from some of the verses.
In Isaiah 9 we read- Isaiah 9:2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
This is a messianic prophecy fulfilled at the time of christ- [overblog see here- https://ccoutreach87.com/2017/08/18/sunday-sermon-4/ ]
12 Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;
13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
Matt. 4

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
We see Judgment and justice as an expression of the kingdom.
Later on in this chapter we see a rebuke of leadership-
Isaiah 9:16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
Part of the absence of Judgment and justice was seen in the oppression of the poor-
Isaiah 10:1 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed;Isaiah 10:2 To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!
The same rebuke that Jesus gives- the Son who was born who fulfilled the prophecy Isaiah just gave
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

In our current study of Acts we see that one of the principles of leadership in the church is to be careful not view people thru the paradigm of ‘what can they do to benefit me and my ministry’.
It’s easy to fall into this mindset-
The apostle Paul himself warned the elders in Acts 20 about it-
Acts 20:33 I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.Acts 20:34 Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me.Acts 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
He showed them thru example that true leadership serves- and does not seek to benefit financially from the people-
Peter teaches us the same in his epistle-
1Peter 5:1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:1Peter 5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;1Peter 5:3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
The other day when I read Acts 20- in preparation for teaching it in a few days- I also read Proverbs 27 in my normal reading time- going thru the whole book of Proverbs every few months.
At then end of Proverbs 27 I read-
Proverbs 27:23 Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.Proverbs 27:24 For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?Proverbs 27:25 The hay appeareth, and the tender grass sheweth itself, and herbs of the mountains are gathered.Proverbs 27:26 The lambs are for thy clothing, and the goats are the price of the field.Proverbs 27:27 And thou shalt have goats' milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens.
This actually fit with the theme of Acts 20- as well as the other verses I added to this post.
The New Testament apostles spoke strongly against the temptation to turn the gospel into a materialistic trade.
They contrasted the true riches- with that which fades away-
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1st Peter 1
James as well-
Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
Paul warned-
1Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;1Timothy 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,1Timothy 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.1Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.1Timothy 6:7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.1Timothy 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.1Timothy 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.1Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.1Timothy 6:11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
So I guess the theme for this Sunday was for leadership in the church-
Isaiah spoke of the day when the Son would be born- he would establish the kingdom of God with justice and judgment.
In the same pages he rebukes the misguided leadership of his day- those who saw their calling as simply engaging in religious speak.
The apostles of the New Testament followed the example that Jesus himself gave-
John 13King James Version (KJV)
13 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
6 Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.
11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
He was among us as one who served- he taught us humility
For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.
In John we read-
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Yes- Jesus- the Word- was there at the act of creation-
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.Genesis 1:6 And God said, Genesis 1:6 And God said,
Yes- God spoke- and creation happened-
Yet this same Word- Jesus himself- humbled himself for our benefit-
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Phil. 2
He taught us what it meant to love-
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
And I’ll end with a verse from Acts 20 mentioned above-
Acts 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Ok- that's the best I could do- I think I hit on most of the verses I talked about on today’s video- and I’ll add some past teaching below to cover the rest.

(739) ACTS 20- Paul travels with some brothers on the journey. This mode of visiting different regions and bringing brothers with him is exciting! They are truly seeing the Kingdom of God becoming established in the earth. Scripture says ‘they broke bread on the first day of the week’ we read later in Paul’s letter to the Corinthians that when they met on the ‘first day of the week’ he asked them to take up a collection before he arrived [so he could take the money and meet the needs of the poor saints at Jerusalem]. Do we see here some type of Sunday Sabbath, that is the ‘church day to pay tithes’ so you don’t get cursed? Of course not. You are seeing the simple practical outworking of a people who are becoming the people of God. It’s fine to meet on a Sunday and to ‘break bread’. Hey, the group needs to know when to meet for the meal! But don't develop liturgical/sacramental ideas out of this. You say ‘hooray for John [me], he is really giving it to those Catholics’ well, don’t say hooray yet. Now he calls for the Elders at Ephesus to come to Miletus so he can give them some instructions and a farewell. This address from Paul is one of the best in the New Testament. He covers the basics for leadership and church growth. Now, he tells them ‘all the time I was with you guys I was upright. I taught you publicly and from house to house. I showed you repentance toward God and faith towards Jesus Christ. I worked and did not covet your money. I did this to prove I was not there to gain financially from you. To give you an example as Elders yourselves, so you would not see the responsibility of oversight thru a covetous mindset. Beware! After I leave you there will be an attempt by the enemy to undo the work of the Cross. Some men, even from your own group will rise up and speak twisted doctrines. They will try to become preeminent in the group, drawing away disciples after themselves. Don’t become sidetracked and become followers of men! Guard the flock over which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Feed them Gods good word’. Paul lays down strong guidelines here. He actually teaches the elders that he worked when he was among them to leave this example of leaders not seeing ministry as a means to get gain. In one of his future letters [Timothy or Thessalonians?] he actually says this ‘working’ that he did was a tradition for them to keep. He said this in context of those who refused to work. Very strong indeed. Peter also will teach the Elders to take oversight of Gods flock ‘not for money, but out of a pure motive’. In the wars that rage over ‘simple church’ versus the modern 501c3 model, both sides have shot at each other wrongfully at times. There are very intelligent brothers who will take this chapter and teach that the modern Pastor has fallen into the trap of ‘making disciples after themselves’. They see the development of the role of Pastor as becoming the fulfillment of this. Now, I do see some merit to this, but I see most pastors [all the ones I know and have known personally over the years] as Elders who are striving to help Gods People. I see a real need for all leadership to see that ministry is not a fulltime clergy type office that has developed over the centuries! Paul is simply addressing the Elders [more mature ones- in the gospel, not necessarily old!] and showing them that their purpose is to help the people of God grow in grace and make it to a place of self sufficiency in Christ. Paul is pretty much laying down the gauntlet that leadership is not some ticket of ‘now that I am in ministry, my income comes from the God ordained tithe’. This is never taught as a means of support for New testament ministers. These ideas have developed out of the Old Testament idea of the tithe supporting the Levitical Priests. In the New Covenant all are Priests and we don’t practice this type of thing. But Paul does teach that it’s good to support materially [financially] those who are feeding you spiritual food. He does teach ‘don’t muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn’ [he called us ox's!] seriously, he lays down the biblical guideline of supporting those who minister the word. But it is important to see he was not establishing some type of clergy system, the fact that he was working while with these Ephesians and actually used this as an example for OTHER ELDERS as well as the believers shows you this. All in all the main point Paul is getting across is he wants the basic truth of the gospel to prevail and he does not want top heavy leadership to come in and draw away disciples after them. That is for strong gifted leaders to become the main focus of these Ephesian believers. So this chapter is important because we see Paul address these elders that he has been ‘ordaining’ in the churches [groups of believers]. We see the basic character and function of these men. We see the warning that cults will arise. In Paul’s day groups did come forth from the basic Christian communities [Gnostics and Docetists] that had a basic understanding of certain Christian things, but would deny the reality of Jesus. Paul bids them Farwell as they all embrace on the shoreline. The Elders were heartbroken over Paul’s words that he will probably see them no more. He wanted to keep the upcoming feast at Jerusalem and eventually preach at Rome. He was on this obsession to carry this gospel to the seat of the empire, even if it means his life.
[My past teaching on Gnosticism- which I mentioned on the post]
PLATO
Plato was born in 427 BC- he was the most famous student of Socrates.
He is best known for his theory of Ideas/Forms.
He believed that the material world was an imperfect copy of the Idea world.
That is he believed that Ideas exist apart from the construct of the human mind- that they were the perfect forms of the things we see in the material realm.
He could also be referred to as a Realist- because he believed these Ideas actually existed [for real]. Where did he get this from?
As we study Philosophy- each one that comes down the line has been influenced in some way by those that preceded them.
There was a famous thinker- Pythagoras [his followers were the Pythagoreans] who taught a concept called the Transmigration of the Soul [a sort of Reincarnation].
They believed that the soul of man went thru various stages- and existed independently of the body.
In Greek thought the soul is immortal- it exists before the body.
In Christian teaching the Soul [mind- Spirit] comes into existence when God creates man [the bible says ‘and man BECAME a living soul’- referring to the creation of Adam].
The Greeks saw the soul as preexisting before the natural life.
In the mind of Plato- the body was a receptacle- in this life we recollect the knowledge that comes from the Idea world.
He ascribed Ontological status to ideas themselves.
In Philosophy there are 2 basic ways knowledge comes [we study this in Epistemology- an offshoot of Philosophy- which deals with how we know things].
A Priori knowledge is knowledge obtained independent of experience.
A Posteriori is knowledge obtained thru the senses- what we call Empirical evidence.
In Plato’s schema he believed that the knowledge that comes to us from the Formal world [ideas- forms] was A Priori knowledge- that the human mind recalls- and in the present material world- knowledge comes to us from the perfect idea world.
The Greeks believed that all matter was flawed- that the Body was an imperfect vessel- and after death we are released into the perfect world- and free from the material realm.
Christian Tradition does not hold to this view.
The Church teaches that the created world is good- not evil.
Among Christians there is some confusion about this- because the older versions of the bible [King James] seem to teach that matter [world, flesh] is evil.
Why?
Paul the apostle talks about no good thing being in The Flesh- he talks about the Carnal mind- the apostle John says ‘all that is in the World- the lust of the flesh- the pride of life- is not of the Father but is of the world’.
There are many references like this in the bible- but they are speaking about the sinful nature of man [the flesh] and not about the human body itself [For instance Paul says in Romans ‘present your BODIES as living sacrifices unto God- Holy and acceptable’ in Corinthians ‘your BODY is the temple of the Holy Spirit’- there are many references in scripture that speak of the Body as Holy.
When the bible says ‘satan is the god of this world’ it is not speaking of the earth- which God created- and calls GOOD- but it is speaking of the ‘world’ system- an age of wickedness.
So- at times Christians have confused this- and have held a sort of Dualistic view of matter- that is not the biblical view- but a Gnostic view- that all matter is evil.
Plato saw the unseen world of Ideas as the perfect- pure world.
He taught that in this life we obtain the knowledge of the pure- by reason of recollection- that these pure ideas come to us ‘are recalled’ in this life.
He is famous for founding the first Philosophical school- it was called The Academy- named after a man by the name of Academus.
The land was donated for the school- it was previously used as an Olive Grove- and in honor of the donation- Plato named the school after the donor.
This is why we use the phrase ‘The Groves of Academia’ today.
Plato was actually a nick name- he wrestled in Athens- in a sort of precursor to what would later become the Olympic games- and he was broad shouldered- that’s where his name comes from- Plato means broad shouldered.
So- to sum up- Plato believed that Forms [ideas] were eternal, the cause of all that is.
He believed we are born with innate ideas- these are not learned thru sense experience- but exist independently of the mind- and in this bodily life we retrieve [the body is a receptacle] these ideas.
Does the bible teach anything along these lines?
Not exactly.
Christians believe that God himself is infinite- without beginning or end.
That wisdom- ideas- ‘forms’ of things do indeed exist- prior to our own life.
But these ideas are not without a Mind- God is Spirit- and he is everywhere [Omnipresent] he knows all tings [Omniscient] - so- in a way- there are indeed ideas- forms- but they come from the ultimate Mind of God.
A good example would be the building of the Tabernacle- and later the Temple- under Moses and King David [his son Solomon actually built it].
God told Moses ‘see that you build it after the Pattern shown to thee in the mount’.
In the book of Hebrews we read that the earthly Tabernacle [Temple] was simply an image- a symbol- of heavenly realities.
That God himself had the ‘form’ in his mind- indeed- like Plato taught- the heavenly form is perfect- the earthly expression imperfect.
But these patterns- forms- ideas- are from the Mind of God- they are not Innate in the soul of man- nor does the soul of man exist before his birth.
In the past few months I have had several Christian friends tell me that they feel like they existed before this life- a type of reincarnation.
I explained to them that in the Christian faith we do not hold to this view.
But- the bible does tell us that God had a purpose for us- Predetermined- before the ‘foundation of the world’.
Meaning that yes- in the Mind of God- in a way- we did exist- but we did not have actual being [called Ontological status in the field of Philosophy] until we were created by God.
God’s purpose for us was already in the Mind of God before our birth.
The bible says that Christ is made unto us wisdom- we are not Receptacles in the sense that Plato taught.
But yes- in time God reveals to us this Hidden Wisdom- about his love and purpose for us.
And in this life we act out- we fulfil this eternal purpose.
Man [or woman] can never find true happiness- true meaning- until they tap into this purpose.
We were created by the hand of God- to bring glory and honor to him- and we in this life can ever find true fulfilment- until we make it back to God.

(1204) There was this man stuck on a deserted island, he was there for 30 years. Finally one day he saw a ship pass by and he started a fire to signal it. When they came to his rescue they saw that he had made 3 huts. They asked him what they were for; the first one was his house, the second was his church. What about the third one? Oh, that’s the church I used to go to [you have to be a Pastor/ex-Pastor to get his one]. I am about 1/3rd thru with the book ‘why we love the church’ [Deyoung, Kluck]. While it’s too soon to review it, let me make a few comments. First, I really like these guys a lot, I read their first book [why we’re not emergent] and will stick with their journey for now. They write from an informed historical perspective. Unashamedly Calvinist [like myself] but yet cool enough to challenge the other cool guys [emergent cool]. I don’t know if they did a chapter on ‘ecclesiology’ [their view of local church] but it would be helpful if they did/do one. They do a great job defending the historic gospel, they defend the ‘church’ and all of the great things the old traditional ‘churches’ have done over the years. They rightfully take the emergent crowd to the woodshed on their willingness to reject certain historic claims of Christianity. But I think they do not really see the legitimate challenge to the church as community versus the people who ‘go to the church on Sunday’. I think their voices are important to hear, and everyone who is reading the organic church stuff should read these guys, but I am not sure they fully see the biblical idea/concept of church as community in the New Testament. In their noble efforts to refute those who have gone too far in other areas, they might be missing the truth of the Ecclesia as defined in scripture. Okay, enough said. Jesus is eating the Passover with the disciples, he tells them he will not eat/drink with them again until the Kingdom of God comes. Was he speaking of a future restoration of nationalistic Israel and his eating the restored Passover/Communion meal at that time? I don’t think so. After Jesus rose from the dead it was important for the ‘witnesses’ [disciples] to have seen testimony that Jesus rose bodily from the grave. He tells Thomas ‘thrust your hand into my side’ he eats with them on a few occasions. He was showing them he was really alive. John’s gospel is the only one [I think] that mentions the blood and water coming from Jesus side after being pierced on the Cross. In John’s letters he speaks of the blood and water as a testimony. John also says that they were testifying of the Son, who they saw and whose hands have handled. John was combating the soon to rise Gnostic/Docetist heresies that would doubt the physical resurrection of Christ. They would say he was ‘a phantom’ [spirit]. So, why did Jesus emphasize his eating with them ‘when the Kingdom came’ [after his death and resurrection]? I think he was giving them a sign/truth that he was physically coming back. They still did not fully grasp what he was going to do, there would be some who would doubt that he really died and rose [see 1st Corinthians 15]. He was telling them that he was really going to die and really come back from the dead. The whole Christian faith stands or falls on this single reality, Paul said ‘if Christ be not risen then we are of all men most miserable’. Jesus said ‘don’t worry guys, when I come back we will eat again’.

Ok- the ruling empire at the time of Christ was Rome- just prior to the appearance of Jesus- the Roman Emperor- Caesar Augustus- consolidated the Roman Empire under his rule-
Rome was ruled by a senate- some famous names from history were in it- Cicero being one.
Caesar Augustus was the nephew of Julius Caesar- his real name was Octavian [Octavius].
After the death of Julius Caesar- there were some power struggles that took place- between some other famous people.
Marc Antony being one of them [Cleopatra too- he was in love with the girl for sure].
Now- we read about Augustus in the New Testament- and we read in the book of Revelation about the Mark of the Beast- and that those who don't worship- give homage to the Beast- they will be killed.
So- Many Christians would be killed because they would refuse to give homage to Caesar Augustus [meaning son of the Divine].
‘Wow- how did he get a name like that’ [there was more than one Caesar by the way- as well as more than one Herod- who did play a part in these power struggles- it can get confusing- even to me].
When Octavian defeated Marc Antony at Actium [32 BC].
Herod [The Great] had a problem- he had previously sided with Antony and found himself on the losing side.
Yet he was smart- did some ‘brown nosing’ as we say-and patched things up.
Herod had 3 sons- who would eventually take positions of authority in the Roman government at the time of Christ.
Herod Antipas was over the region that we read about in the New Testament where Jesus did most of his ministry- Galilee.
Ok- Octavian claimed deity because of a heavenly sign associated with his rise to power- and this is how he became called ‘Caesar Augustus’.
He sort of saw himself as a ‘re-incarnate’- of his great uncle Julius Caesar.
‘John- what in the heck does this have to do with the Dead Sea Scrolls’.
Ok- good question.
The Jews had various responses to the empires that ruled over them during various times.
Alexander the Great instituted Hellenization- a sort of cultural compromise over the people he conquered.
They could keep their religious/cultural roots- but would be subservient to Alexander and Greek rule.
Some Jewish people rejected any compromise- we call them the Essenes- they moved out of town- so to speak, and lived in what we refer to as the Qumran community.
This was a few centuries before the time of Christ- and this was where the Dead Seas Scrolls were found in the 20th century.
A Bedouin boy was looking for his goats- threw a rock in a cave right off the Dead Sea- and that’s how we found the scrolls.
The scrolls might have been hidden there by the Essenes-
Now- when my friends asked me about them- I told them that it’s been a while since I read up on any of this- but to the best of my memory the thing that made them significant was the fact that they were very old manuscripts- from the bible- and they backed up what we had had all along.
I did read up this week- and basically had it right.
The earliest Hebrew manuscripts of the Old Testament we had previously dated back to around 900- 1000 A.D.
These manuscripts went back about 1000 years earlier- and they contained portions from almost every book of the Old testament- and some complete books.
The only book missing was Esther.
So- this was indeed a very significant find for scholars.
But the Scrolls also contain some of the writings from the Essenes themselves- things we never had before- so this too was significant.
There were Jews at the time of the first century who tried to ‘get along’ with Rome- and with the person in charge of their region [one of the sons of Herod the Great at the time of Christ].
These are referred to as Herodian’s in the bible.
Some wanted a revolution to rid Rome from Jerusalem- these were the Zealots [one of Jesus disciples was in this group].
Some thought if they returned to a legalistic obeisance of the law- that this would bring in a deliverer- like the stories we read about in the Old testament- these were the Pharisees.
And some took more of a political compromise- these were the Sadducees.
Eventually a war with Rome would be fought [By the way- Josephus- the famous 1st century historian- fought on the side of the Jews in the war- and after Jerusalem was sacked in A.D. 70- he went to Rome and wrote his great works- thinking he would make a case for the Jewish people with the Romans. This is why we have his works today- which are very valuable to scholars].
NOTE- In time I’ll try and cover how we ‘got our bibles’ [called the Canon- meaning Rule/ Measurement].
Frankly- there is a lot of confusion in the general public about conspiracies [like the Catholic Church had some type of plot to keep certain books out].
Or stories about how the Church taught Mary Magdalene was a prostitute so they could discredit her.
Actually- we read in the gospels that Jesus cast out ‘spirits’ from a woman who was probably living this type of life-
And Jesus had a ministry to the down and out- it is indeed possible that Mary was one of these women-
And if true- it would not demean her in any way-
That’s how this tradition more than likely developed- But- we don’t know for sure.
So a few years back the Church officially said ‘we don’t know’.
Ok- Plot?
No- just being careful.
So there are other misguided beliefs like this- that sincere people have- and over time I hope to get to them.
I’ll do one more in keeping with this post.
I mentioned above that Caesar Augustus did indeed take the title of ‘son of God’.
And some critics of the Church say ‘see- there were all types of religions that had Sons of God’.
I watched one show a few years back- and it stated that these religions had ’12 disciples- a leader named Lord and Savior- and he healed and claimed to be God’s Son- and rose from the dead’.
Ok- that show was ‘fibbing’ to put it lightly- they went too far [historically speaking] in trying to diminish the Christians claim of Christ by doing this.
Now- is there some truth to this at all?
Yes- like I just mentioned above- Octavian did indeed claim deity- a ‘son of god’.
So- how do we explain this?
In the book of Galatians the bible says ‘in the FULLNESS of times God sent forth his Son’.
Jesus came at a set time in history- in fulfilment of the Jewish Prophets- to be who he was- and to do what he did.
Now- this is not special pleading here- but I find it a masterpiece that God’s Son came at a time when the Roman Empire had one sitting on the throne- who too claimed deity.
Yet Jesus was in a region of the lower class- his men were not highly educated- and his followers were people under oppression.
Augustus lived in the wealthy and influential capital of ‘the world’- he had all you could ever ask for- he was worshiped as a god.
Yet in 3 short centuries- one of the heirs of the empire- Constantine- would have an experience – not with a former Caesar- but with a vison of a Cross-
He would convert to Christianity- and declare Christianity to be the religion of the realm.

NEW-
I’ll add my past commentary on this chapter below- and hit on a few points here.
I said in the beginning of this study that Solomon’s rule is covered more than any other King in this book.
And in this chapter- his rule comes to an end- actually a sad end.
He is judged by God because of allowing idolatry to enter into the kingdom.
He ‘loved’ many women- about 1000- and as he grew in years- they turned his heart after their god’s.
God pronounces judgment- and we see 3 particular people he uses to be a thorn in the side of Solomon.
Hadad was the lone survivor of an earlier attempt by King David [under Joab] to wipe out the Edomites.
I find the story of Hadad interesting.
It sort of goes along the line of Moses.
He escapes as a young child- and is brought up in the house of Pharaoh himself.
Over time he returns to the land of Israel- and fights against Solomon.
Another man by the name of Rezon is also ordained of God- to be part of the opposition.
Yet it’s a man from the nation of Israel- Jeroboam [from Ephraim] that is chosen to become the king of the 10 northern tribes.
Yes- God takes the kingdom from Solomon- and gives 10 tribes to Jeroboam.
But he permits Solomon's son- Rehoboam- to rule over the Southern tribe- Judah.
God does this to keep his promise to king David- that he will always have a son on the throne-
1Kings 11:36 And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.
The theological significance to all of this- is the promise of a coming Messiah [Jesus] is tied into the promises God made to David.
Eventually Jesus himself comes as the ultimate fulfillment of the promise- and as I taught before- he comes from the tribe of Judah- the Son of David.
I talked about more on the video- but wanted to add this- to keep us on track of the meaning of all of these Old testament books-
The Prophets the Psalms the law-
All of this history finds it’s ultimate meaning in the person of Jesus Christ- [overblog- see here- https://ccoutreach87.com/2017/08/22/kings-11/ ]
New Living Translation
Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. Lk. 24:27
We should not read the history of conflict found in the bible- and relate it to actual wars that take place in our day.
We should not use this history as a modern day plan of action between Arabs and Jews.
Or the book of Revelation as a road map to a coming nuclear event.
No- the books of the bible have an intent- they show us of the promise of reconciliation of all people groups thru Christ.
The intent- spirit- of prophecy is to testify of Christ-
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
The Son of David has indeed come- and thru that coming-
All people- Jews- Arabs- all nations can become one.
As they embrace the promised Son-
13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
Eph. 2
NOTES- Ashtoreth was the Phoenician goddess of love and fertility- the Greek equivalent was called Astarte.
Molech was the national god of the Amorites.
Chemosh the god of Moab.

(1059) 1ST KINGS 11- THE SIN OF SOLOMON- Now we get to the part where Solomon blows it. As I read these stories of the great men who failed, I continually fall into the trap of rooting for them, even though I know the end of the story! The trap being that failure in a sense was built into the story. How could God fulfill his purpose thru the coming Messiah if one of the sons of David actually lived up to the standard? Solomon, in a sense, was destined to fail. So what happened? This chapter says Solomon loved many women [1,000 to be exact!] and IN HIS OLD AGE began worshipping their gods. He set up altars for sacrifice and allowed the pagan gods to affect Gods people. I find this interesting, it wasn’t the actual act of having all those other women, but the sin of being too accommodating to the other ‘world religions’. I’m presently reading a book written by what you would call a liberal scholar, you know, the brothers who challenge the authenticity of just about everything. But I also have some good scholars that I read from. To be honest, at times you still might read something that makes you a little uneasy; they too at times have been affected by higher learning. But the difference between the ‘good and the bad’ ones is the fact that the good ones remain true to the historic gospel. N.T. Wright is a great scholar, he sits in the middle category, between the conservatives and the liberals [in my view]. The prolific Bishop of Durham [Church of England] has written excellent stuff on the resurrection and the kingdom of God. The liberal scholars view him as ‘behind the times’ why? Because he actually defends the historic resurrection of Christ! Yet you can read some higher criticism in Wrights stuff, not real bad stuff, just things that the average fundamentalist might be uncomfortable with. So getting back to Solomon, he became way too accommodating to the religions of his day. Sort of like calling Islam, Christianity and Judaism the ‘great Abrahamic faiths’. Now, I love Muslims/Arabs, I have written in their defense! I also think some Muslim apologetic arguments for the existence of God are good, but I would not describe Islam as one of the great Abrahamic faiths. Just like I would not call Mormonism one of the great ‘restorationist faiths’. A while back a bunch of believers had an ecumenical meeting with Muslims and Jews. Noble efforts to tone down world violence in an attempt to all get along, I think stuff like this is good. But some Christians defended Allah as being the same God as the Christians, just a different name. In my view they went too far. So Solomon became too pluralistic in his old age. Beware of the trend to abandon central elements of the faith as you mature in your thinking. There is a real temptation to want to look ‘enlightened’ to try and put distance between your intellectual faith and those ‘silly fundamentalists’, because if your not careful you might just end up with a bunch of pagan altars at your doorstep. [Ben Witherington and R.C. Sproul are other favorite scholars of mine; one is Arminian and the other Calvinistic, it’s good to read scholars from various points of view].
VERSES- [Here are the verses I either quoted or taught on today’s post- KINGS 11]
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
2nd Cor. 12
And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

1Kings 11:4 For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
1Kings 11:5 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
1Kings 11:6 And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.
1Kings 11:7 Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.
1Kings 11:8 And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.
1Kings 11:9 And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,
1Kings 11:10 And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.
1Kings 11:11 Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.
1Kings 11:12 Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father's sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.
1Kings 11:13 Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen.
1Kings 11:14 And the LORD stirred up an adversary unto Solomon, Hadad the Edomite: he was of the king's seed in Edom.
1Kings 11:15 For it came to pass, when David was in Edom, and Joab the captain of the host was gone up to bury the slain, after he had smitten every male in Edom;
1Kings 11:16 (For six months did Joab remain there with all Israel, until he had cut off every male in Edom:)
1Kings 11:17 That Hadad fled, he and certain Edomites of his father's servants with him, to go into Egypt; Hadad being yet a little child.
1Kings 11:18 And they arose out of Midian, and came to Paran: and they took men with them out of Paran, and they came to Egypt, unto Pharaoh king of Egypt; which gave him an house, and appointed him victuals, and gave him land.
1Kings 11:19 And Hadad found great favour in the sight of Pharaoh, so that he gave him to wife the sister of his own wife, the sister of Tahpenes the queen.
1Kings 11:20 And the sister of Tahpenes bare him Genubath his son, whom Tahpenes weaned in Pharaoh's house: and Genubath was in Pharaoh's household among the sons of Pharaoh.
1Kings 11:21 And when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers, and that Joab the captain of the host was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, Let me depart, that I may go to mine own country.
1Kings 11:22 Then Pharaoh said unto him, But what hast thou lacked with me, that, behold, thou seekest to go to thine own country? And he answered, Nothing: howbeit let me go in any wise.
1Kings 11:23 And God stirred him up another adversary, Rezon the son of Eliadah, which fled from his lord Hadadezer king of Zobah:
1Kings 11:24 And he gathered men unto him, and became captain over a band, when David slew them of Zobah: and they went to Damascus, and dwelt therein, and reigned in Damascus.
1Kings 11:25 And he was an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, beside the mischief that Hadad did: and he abhorred Israel, and reigned over Syria.
1Kings 11:26 And Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephrathite of Zereda, Solomon's servant, whose mother's name was Zeruah, a widow woman, even he lifted up his hand against the king.
1Kings 11:27 And this was the cause that he lifted up his hand against the king: Solomon built Millo, and repaired the breaches of the city of David his father.
1Kings 11:28 And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge of the house of Joseph.
1Kings 11:29 And it came to pass at that time when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him in the way; and he had clad himself with a new garment; and they two were alone in the field:
1Kings 11:30 And Ahijah caught the new garment that was on him, and rent it in twelve pieces:
1Kings 11:31 And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee:
1Kings 11:32 (But he shall have one tribe for my servant David's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel:)
1Kings 11:33 Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in mine eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his father.
1Kings 11:34 Howbeit I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand: but I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant's sake, whom I chose, because he kept my commandments and my statutes:
1Kings 11:35 But I will take the kingdom out of his son's hand, and will give it unto thee, even ten tribes.
1Kings 11:36 And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.
1Kings 11:37 And I will take thee, and thou shalt reign according to all that thy soul desireth, and shalt be king over Israel.
1Kings 11:38 And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee.
1Kings 11:39 And I will for this afflict the seed of David, but not for ever.
1Kings 11:40 Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
1Kings 11:41 And the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?
1Kings 11:42 And the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years.
1Kings 11:43 And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.

NEW- I obviously had no plan to do this walk- but as the day progressed I felt it was the right thing to do.
I do teach some from the bible chapter I taught earlier this same day- ACTS 21.
But I won’t upload that video until next week.
On these roll outs- I also talk about current issues- news- as well as other stuff.
As I was listening to the news today- sure enough I heard more stuff- that just does not seem to fit into the category of ‘news’.
Some media people are reporting that Trump has dementia.
Now- maybe you believe that- but the person who said it is not a doctor- yet- when media people ‘report’ people think it’s true.
An ESPN commentator was removed from covering an event- because his name is Robert Lee.
The commentator is Asian- he has that name because many Asians and oriental people have that name [Remember Bruce Lee?]
Yet- the name itself was seen as being racist- so they had to act!
I think the rest of the world is looking at us- and laughing.
Ok- this day was a long day.
I’ll post a few regular teaching posts the next day or so.
And that should be it for now-
God bless all-
John
MORE NEWS-
I just watched CNN- the interview with Don Lemon and James Clapper. ‘Is Trump a threat to national security’.
The piece spoke about Trump being a danger because he might launch nukes- and no one can stop him.
They are also reporting how Trump still blames ‘both sides’.
I can give you many news links- and past reports where those on the left actually were told to beat protesters at ‘right’ rallies.
This has been reported and there are videos on it.
The media is aware that there have been instances where those on the left actually went to beat protesters at rallies.
Yet the media never hold them accountable.
Most of the time you find this out by having to research it yourself.
Any honest person would condemn anyone who went to a rally- with orders- to beat [with sticks at times] the other side in order to garner attention.
When you here Trump say ‘both sides were to blame’ This is what he is referring to.
Now- do the media know this?
Yes.
Do they tell you that's really what Trump means?
No.
Why?
They have an agenda.
This agenda does not in any way bring a country together.
I am not a quote ‘conservative’ but when you see this non stop game- this is what energizes the radical right.
They have seen it- and know it goes on.
If I walked up to you- and beat you openly- in public- with the intent to start a riot- is that good?
Of course not.
Yet this has indeed happened in the past- primarily by some who were actually hired to do this at rallies.
The media cover this up.
Any normal person could say those who instigated a riot also bare some of the blame.
Yet- that statement alone by the president has been reported that Trump backs Nazi’s-
Yes- as simple and plain as this is- the media will report that if some on the left beat a protester- and even if that protester does not fight back- the media will still report that a Trump rally started a riot.
The interview with Clapper and Don lemon- lemon was so excited about talking about Trump being an unhinged man- that the free world is in danger of Trump launching Nukes- for personal benefit.
All of this language- this narrative- all of it has never gone on before with such disdain.
Some in the media have called for Trumps son to face the death penalty over any involvement with Russian collusion.
Chelsea Clinton just came out to defend Trumps son.
A Democrat from Missouri openly Texted she hopes Trump gets assassinated-.
Yet some in the media and the Democratic party have not even condemned it.
If you had a Republican dare express their desire for Obama to be assassinated the media would be in an uproar.
What does that tell you?
The media wants the assassination of Trump?
There silence speaks volumes.
CBS has a new headline on their 24 hour news site- REAL NEWS.
They do this to fight back against Trump calling them fake news.
But fake news is indeed what I Just told you about.
Fake news is when someone on the left can express thru a text they hope Trump is killed.
And for their to be no outrage- no media coverage- and then to move on to a story that says Trump will Nuke the world out of personal benefit.
What does North Korea think when they see this?
The discussion also went along the lines of ‘someone from the inside must stop Trump’-
This was with a man- James Clapper- who lied to Congress during a hearing about illegal data collection by the NSA-
He lied openly about the program which the courts themselves later ruled to be unconstitutional [Andrew Snowden].
He than later admitted- to Congress- that he lied to them- because he felt it was the best answer to give at the time.
Though he committed a crime- equal to what we are presently holding other citizens in jail for-
Yet he is on CNN basically calling for someone from inside the government to stop Trump- because he is a dangerous man who might Nuke the world.
This mantra goes on day after day in the media.
It has fueled the radical right.
As you watch the news- you see the glee in their faces when they talk about this.
There are causes- on the left- that I back.
I have angered many of my conservative friends when I came out as pro immigrant.
I was actually for national health care- yes- I spoke for it in the past.
I defend Black Lives Matter- those who have followed us for any time know this.
But some on the left- they see part of their cause as also supporting much of the misinformation that the media give.
I see many on the left reveling in their absolute hatred for Trump.
The same hatred I saw that many on the right had for Obama.
This hatred drives them.
The main stream media are simply not capable of covering the news fairly.
The public does not need Trump to tell them ‘they are fake news’- The public sees it themselves.
I have watched other world news sources- including Al-Jazeera!
To be honest- they actually cover real world news.
I see more honest and balanced coverage on Al- Jazzera than with the main stream news- that's the truth.
Many liberals were outraged that a member of congress would say Obama Lied.
Some of those same people believe it is freedom of speech for a Democrat congresswoman to openly express her desire for Trump to be assassinated.
They do not see the double standard.
Those who hold this view are simply not honest-
We should be for what is good- and against what is evil- regardless of what side of the Political aisle you are on.
Ok- that should be it for today- unless something else comes up before I post.
If I got you mad- or to re-think some stuff- good.
Because both sides need to examine what is going on at this time in this country-
I guess I’ll end with Plato [some ascribe it to Socrates]-
THE UNEXAMINED LIFE IS NOT WORTH LIVING-
Amen
MORE- Today I have the chance of watching more of the live news then usual.
Why?
I actually do not feel tired or sore from the 33 mile walk- to be honest.
I almost was going to go out and yes- do my evening walk- but I guess that would be pushing it.
So- I’m watching CBS live.
I found it interesting the way they have been reporting Trumps speech to the American Legion and his speech in Phoenix - and I knew they were lying- I’ll include the entire speech below.
For the last hour they were reporting how Trump went back to his old ways- In his speech.
How he attacked [yes- the headline on the screen for the hour is TRUMP ATTACKS Republicans- Democrats- etc.]
So- for about an hour they said when Trump goes off message- it’s like he is another person- his true feelings are seen.
Then they spoke about the speech- but the short clip they played- was actually good- and in no way contradicted his recent ‘prepared’ speech to the country.
Yet- they went on in depth about why he would go back to his attacks against all sides- why he would destroy his good speech the other night by attacking everyone.
Yet- it seemed to me- that they must simply be lying.
They realize few viewers will actually read the text of the speech.
After about hearing them do this for an hour- they gave the narrative that the Trump we saw the other night- was not the real Trump.
The other night he was forced- by his handlers- to read words from a prepared speech- that he actually did not believe in.
Then they justified this- by their coverage of the speeches to the American Legion and Phoenix.
They would have you think that he used the N word- attacked not only the minority community but just about every group you could think of.
The coverage made it sound like he went on some racist twitter tirade- how could he do such a thing?
They had no reasonable explanation to why he would be a totally different man- with such a divisive message- just a few days after his well received speech by the nation-
They were truly dumbfounded- below is this utterly disgraceful racist speech- read it for yourself-
[I googled for the full text of the presidents speech- to the American Legion- and accidentally copied a speech he gave in 2016- which was fine- a good speech. But I wanted the FULL TEXT of this most recent speech- and have not been able to find it- so I’ll simply add how the media reported it- and a link or 2. He was also criticized for a Phoenix Rally speech- I’ll add that link as well]
LAST NOTE- Watching CBS news- they played the Don Lemon interview with Clapper where Clapper said the real Trump came out at the Rally speech- and the prepared statements came out at the Legion speech. They also said Trump is unfit to be president- and he is looking for a way out. The average public- by not actually reading the camping type rally speech- will think Trump came out and openly supported the Nazi party. Then they showed Trump reciting part of his message after the Virginia tragedy- and then said ‘this is what he really said’- meaning- he was just lying to us. Actually he left out the part where he said ‘both sides are to blame’- meaning some at the rally- did strike the alt right people- possibly first- I saw the video. But the media said he lied- meaning he defends Nazi's. I guess the worst part of the coverage was to actually say the president is unfit to serve- and he’s looking for a way out [like a Nuclear war?]. I do not defend Trump in all of his statements- but to openly say on the word news that he is unfit to serve- and looking for a way out- is simply not news. As I write- I hear in the background them playing the recent release of Hillary’s book- saying in her voice ‘ Back up you Creep’- talking about Trump. She did say this in her new book- but to have that statement ‘BACK UP YOU CREEP’- To give it top news- and not show a single response from Trump is more of the same. If a critic wrote a book on Obama- and in his words said something like that- would you Play it on world news? Right after the story of how Trump is unfit and unhinged? This simply verifies all of the above-Good job media! Oh- by the way- Harvey is top news- heading our way- Hmm? As I finish up- I just heard ‘up next- cover up in Charlottesville’- what might it be? Trump had Nooses ready and was wearing a white sheet? You know- like the world news just actually played Hillary's voice ‘BACK UP YOU CREEP’. World news- disgrace.
Harvey- I watched this storm- it was not projected to come near us at the start- I just saw the recent tracking- it actually made some what of a turn- and most tracks have it headed directly to Corpus Christi.
Here is the full text of the rally speech- which if you read it- is in no way some sort of racist speech- Trump even addresses that issue in the speech- which they are now describing in the manner above. If you simply read the headlines on the way the media is reporting it- it’s astounding] http://time.com/4912055/donald-trump-phoenix-arizona-transcript/
This paper- the Washington Post- has been a critic of Trump- yet if you look at the selected pieces of Trumps speech to the Legion-which would be the worst- they are actually good . If I find the full text- I’ll post it-
RENO, Nev. — President Trump called for unity in a speech at the American Legion’s 99th National Convention here, just hours after a raucous campaign-style rally in which he lambasted the media and his political rivals and reignited the controversy over his response to a white-supremacist rally in Charlottesville this month.
“It is time to heal the wounds that have divided us, and to seek a new unity based on the common values that unite us,” Trump said, speaking before more than 5,000 members of the largest veterans group. “We are one people, with one home and one flag.”
“We are not defined by the color of our skin, the figure on our paycheck or the party of our politics,” Trump continued.
Trump argued that “shared humanity,” “citizenship” and patriotism could heal the nation’s divides political and racial divides, and he heralded the work of the Legion in promoting American values.
Trump’s remarks come at a time when he is facing continued pressure to stem the divisions exposed by a deadly rally in Charlottesville this month, which was organized by hate groups including the Ku Klux Klan and neo-Nazi sympathizers.

Trump's turbulent Phoenix rally, in 3 minutes
President Trump gave a contentious speech at a campaign rally in Phoenix on Aug. 22, attacking the media, GOP senators and "obstructionist" Democrats. Here are the highlights.(Jenny Starrs/The Washington Post)
The comments were a sea change from Trump’s posture hours earlier at a rally in Phoenix on Tuesday night, at which he angrily railed against the “dishonest” media for its coverage of his remarks on the Charlottesville gathering. Initially, he had blamed “many sides” for the conflict, rather than criticizing the collection of Ku Klux Klan, white-supremacist and neo-Nazi groups that planned the event.
His first statement was widely condemned, including by lawmakers in his own party, prompting Trump to issue new scripted comments that named the hate groups. But even after correcting his initial remarks, Trump reverted back to his original stance, claiming at a news conference later that week that there were “fine people” among the hate groups who had gathered to protest the removal of a Confederate statue.
In his campaign rally, Trump reread his comments on the Charlottesville remarks, but omitted the words “many sides.”
And he blamed the media for accusing him of being racist.
“I hit them with neo-Nazi. I hit them with everything. I got the white supremacists, the neo-Nazi. I got them all in there. Let’s see: KKK? we have KKK. I got them all,” Trump said in Phoenix. “So what are they saying, right? It should have been sooner. He's a racist. It should have been sooner, okay?”
But in Reno, Trump appeared to stick to his carefully crafted script, focusing on his administration’s efforts to improve services for veterans, a key focus on the nation’s largest veterans organization.
After his speech Wednesday, he signed into law the Veterans Appeals Improvement and Modernization Act, which reforms the process by which veterans can appeal their claims for disability benefits with Veterans Affairs.

“I promised you that I would make it my priority to fix the broken VA and to deliver to our veterans the care they so richly deserve,” Trump said. “And you see what’s been happening.
“Now you have a true reformer in Secretary David Shulkin.”
Shulkin served as undersecretary of Veterans Affairs for health under President Barack Obama before he was named secretary by Trump in January.
But Trump’s response to the racial divisions in the country hung over his appearance here before a group of veterans that included some who fought against Nazism and fascism in World War II.
The day before Trump’s appearance, the Legion voted to reaffirm a nearly 100-year-old resolution condemning hate groups.
The resolution states that “the American Legion considers any individual, group of individuals, or organizations, which creates, or fosters racial, religious or class strife among our people, or which takes into their own hands the enforcement of law, determination of guilt, or infliction of punishment, to be un-American, a menace to our liberties, and destructive to our fundamental law.”
Trump was expected to hold up the values espoused by the Legion as an example of how the country can begin to unite.
“We are here to hold you up as an example of the strength, courage and love that our country will need to overcome every challenge that we face,” Trump said. “We are here to draw inspiration from you as we seek to renew the bonds of loyalty that bind us together as one people and one nation.

“If American patriots could secure our Independence, carve out a home in the wilderness, and free millions from oppression around the world, that same sense of patriotism, courage and love can help us create a better future for our people today,” he added.
Despite the controversy, veterans have long been supportive of Trump generally.
Among those who gathered to hear Trump’s remarks at the convention, some were sympathetic to his approach to the Charlottesville controversy.
“He’s not a very delicate guy. He never says things in a very delicate way,” said Ed Riley, a retired Navy fighter pilot who began serving in 1970. “I never heard him ever endorse any of the far right.
“It always upsets me when the news says this was a white-supremacist thing. It was not; it was nationalist — a white-nationalist [thing],” Riley added.
